Leone Acton, 89, was admitted to
Champaign Urbana Regional Rehab Center in October after having a
fall in her home. She says "it was very scary not really knowing
what had happened." Following her hospitalization she realized
she would require a stay in a nursing facility for her
recuperation. "I knew I wanted to come here because I had been
here before."
Mrs. Acton was living alone in rural Illinois. The injuries she
sustained kept her from returning home. Her care at CURRC
consisted of skilled nursing, physical and occupational therapy
to help regain her strength and independence. "I can't say
enough about the girls in therapy, they have helped me a lot."
After successfully finishing her rehabilitation Mrs. Acton was
able to return home independently.
When asked about her experience she stated, "It was very
satisfactory and pleasant and she would certainly recommend it
to anyone needing to come to a facility."
